St. Louis Loses Ken Osterhage, Will Miss Season Sunday, July 24th , 1977 Ken Osterhage has to call it a season. The St. Louis Explorers center fielder sustained a season-ending injury against the Cincinnati Packers and will not play again this year according to club doctors. Osterhage was injured while running the bases. His doctors diagnosed it as shoulder inflammation and stated that he would not be able to play for 4-5 months. This year, Osterhage is hitting .283 with 10 home runs and 41 RBIs to his credit. He has gotten on base at a .306 clip and scored 37 runs. |
