Timmons Selected NBL Player of the Week Monday, July 25th , 1977 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that Cincinnati's Stan Timmons put up last week were the envy of the league, as Timmons came away with National Baseball League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 13 hits in 28 at-bats, 3 home runs and 8 RBIs last week as he posted his .464 batting average. So far this season, Timmons is batting .256 with 11 home runs. |
