Montreal, Philadelphia Make Trade Monday, July 14th , 1975 BNN has learned the Montreal Habitants have reportedly worked out a deal with the Philadelphia Quakers. Sources close to the Habitants indicated that a trade has been reached in principle where 28-year old LF Jeff Murchison will be swapped to Montreal with a 1st round draft pick heading to Philadelphia. Neither organization would comment on the report, saying it was club policy not to speak about a trade until it was finalized. To date Murchison has chalked up a .287 average with 12 home runs, driven in 28 runs and scored 38 times. |
