Cincinnati's Meek Will Miss Season
Saturday, July 19th , 1975
The season is apparently over for Jerry Meek. The Cincinnati Packers medical staff informed the club that the reliever will be out at least 4 months with bone chips in his elbow. Meek was hurt in the game against Pittsburgh while throwing a pitch. The doctors did not think he would recover prior to the end of the season.

This season, Meek has made 44 relief appearances, pitched 75.1 innings and struck out 41 with a record of 3 wins and 4 losses. He has compiled a 2.03 ERA and saved 9 games.
