NBL Picks July's Top Pitcher Monday, August 1st , 1977 The National Baseball League announced today that Tim Fried has been chosen the league's Pitcher of the Month. The New York starter had everything working for him last month as he glided to a 4-0 record. In July Fried chalked up a 1.88 ERA in 38.1 innings with 15 strikeouts and 15 walks. Fried has gone 9-7 this season with an ERA of 2.67 and 67 strikeouts in 141.2 innings pitched. Other clubs are hitting .262 against him. |
