Bad News for Fields and Brooklyn Monday, August 1st , 1977 The Brooklyn Bluebirds announced today that Wade Fields will miss an additional one week after the third baseman suffered a setback in his rehabilitation from torn ankle ligaments. While the setback is believed to be minor, the Bluebirds want Fields to take his time and fully recover before coming back. At the moment, Fields is hitting .260 with 10 home runs and 44 RBIs. He has played in 65 games and scored 31 times. |
