Hit Parade: Luna Gets Cycle Sunday, July 27th , 1975 It was a special day for Jorge Luna at Wolverine Field. Not only did Luna's Toronto Hurons beat the Detroit Wolverines, 13-1, but the center fielder hit for the cycle along the way. The 29-year-old Luna racked up 1 single, 1 double, 1 triple and 1 home run to get his name in the record books. For the game, he went 4-for-5 with 8 RBI and 3 runs scored. "He hit everything we threw," said Wolverines manager Alex Wobbema. "There was just no getting him out today." Speaking to the press after the game, Luna said his goal for the day had been to look for "first pitch fastballs." "I got some good looks today," he said. Jorge Luna singled in the 1st, hit a three-run double in the 3rd, hit a two-run triple in the 4th, hit a three-run home run off Alfredo Morales in the 5th and flied out in the 8th.
