Monday, September 11th , 1967
Fans of the Cleveland Bobcats have long since given up hope of the club making a serious playoff push this season. But now those hopes are officially gone, as the club was mathematically eliminated from postseason contention today.
The Bobcats had a streak of 6 straight playoff appearances before this year. In the 83 years they have been a Major League Baseball franchise, they have made the playoffs 10 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Bobcats have missed the playoffs 2 times. Cleveland has won the World Series 3 times in their history.
