Parsons Takes This Week's Trophy Monday, July 9th , 1973 What's in a number? In baseball, just about everything. The numbers that Los Angeles's Norm Parsons put up last week were the envy of the league, as Parsons came away with National Baseball League Player of the Week honors. He belted out 11 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 home runs and 9 RBIs last week as he posted his .440 batting average. For the year, Parsons has hit .266 with 2 home runs, 32 RBIs and scored 19 runs. |
