Atlanta, St. Louis Make Trade Thursday, July 31st , 1975 Atlanta and St. Louis announced today in a joint press conference that a 3rd round draft pick will be going to the Explorers in exchange for 34-year old 3B John Darnell. "It'll be exciting to join a new organization," one player said. "Some of us could use a fresh start." The players have each passed physicals and are expected to report by day's end. To date this year, Darnell is batting .193 with 1 home run. |
