Terriers Out of Playoff Race Sunday, September 17th , 1967 Only the most die-hard fans thought the Boston Terriers still had any chance at making the playoffs this season, but now even those hopes are dashed. The team was officially eliminated from postseason contention today. Before this season, the Terriers last missed the playoffs in 1965. In the 92 years they have been a Major League Baseball franchise, they have missed the playoffs 84 times. In the last 10 seasons, the Terriers have missed the playoffs 8 times. Boston last won the World Series in 1951. |
