The club's efforts at building a championship contender fell short this year, as the team was officially eliminated from playoff contention today. This is the club's 5th playoff miss in a row. They last appeared in the postseason in 1962. In total, the Seagulls have missed the playoffs 14 times in their 22-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Seagulls have missed the playoffs 6 times. San Francisco last won the World Series in 1962. |
