Wolverines Blanked by Ragsdale, 8-0
Monday, September 18th , 1967
Today was Pete Ragsdale's turn in the rotation for the New York Empires and he made the most of it, shutting out the Detroit Wolverines on 5 hits.

The 27-year-old right-hander led the Empires to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 10 strikeouts.

"I hope we miss him next time," Detroit manager Alex Wobbema said. "Ragsdale certainly pitched a strong game against us today. He was in a groove, throwing everything for strikes. Throwing hard. Changing speeds."

This year in 28 starts, Ragsdale has recorded 12 wins and absorbed 12 losses. He has pitched 211 innings, allowed 152 hits, struck out 166 and has a 2.05 ERA.
