Wolverines Blanked by Ragsdale, 8-0 Monday, September 18th , 1967 Today was Pete Ragsdale's turn in the rotation for the New York Empires and he made the most of it, shutting out the Detroit Wolverines on 5 hits. The 27-year-old right-hander led the Empires to an easy 8-0 victory, allowing no walks and tallying 10 strikeouts. "I hope we miss him next time," Detroit manager Alex Wobbema said.
