Keough Parks 3 for Pittsburgh
Sunday, August 3rd , 1975
Sometimes it just isn't enough.
Don Keough had an outstanding day at Lakefront Stadium for the Pittsburgh Industrials, ripping three home runs. Nonetheless, the Industrials fell to the Cleveland Bobcats, 7-6.
Keough had a feast at the plate, pounding everything thrown his way. The 34-year-old left fielder banged out 4 hits in 4 at-bats, scored 3 times and batted in 5 runs. Despite his sensational performance, the Industrials were not able to hold off the Bobcats.
"Baseball is a funny game," Keough said in the post-game interview, "You can't dwell on the reasons for the loss. I'm sure there will be days when I go 0-for-4 and we win. These things tend to even out."
Don Keough hit a solo-shot off Scott Dubyak in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Scott Dubyak in the 3rd, walked in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off Joe Clabaugh in the 9th.
This season, Keough is batting .314 with 29 home runs. He has scored 71 runs and driven in 74.
