Decker, on Top of His Game, Beats Los Angeles, 5-0 Wednesday, September 27th , 1967 Gary Decker of the Houston Drillers overwhelmed the Los Angeles Pobladores and walked off the mound with a complete-game shutout. He blanked them 5-0 on 5 hits with a total of 5 strikeouts and 3 walks. "Gary was on quite a roll," Houston manager Steven Palps said. "He gets great late movement and he doesn't give in to the hitters." Checking out his stats for the season, Decker has racked up 10 wins and 8 losses in 27 starts, posted a 3.24 ERA, and struck out 101 batters in 208.1 innings.
