Munoz Is September's Top Starter Sunday, October 1st , 1967 The hottest hurler in the National Baseball League last month was Jeff Munoz of the Milwaukee Dairymen. He caught the attention of everybody in the league with some eye-catching stats, good enough to win the NBL Pitcher of the Month. In September, Munoz starred with an impressive 4-1 record. In 6 starts he gave up 42 base hits and struck out 22 in 48 innings with a 1.50 ERA.
