Recovery Slow for Blockbusters Ernie Ronnebaum Friday, August 15th , 1975 Yesterday Los Angeles left fielder Ernie Ronnebaum sustained a setback in his recovery from strained muscles in his rib cage. The Blockbusters medical staff told him it would be at least one week before he will be able to return to action. Ronnebaum told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Ronnebaum worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. In his season totals, Ronnebaum has 16 home runs, .300 BA, .418 OBP, 52 RBIs and 46 runs scored. He has played in 82 games. |
