Perez Sends Detroit Bats to Deep Freeze
Wednesday, October 4th , 1967
Dario Perez was dynamite at Bluff Park today, blowing away the Detroit Wolverines in a shutout victory. The Dallas Wranglers starter had everything working as he held the Wolverines to 4 hits in the 3-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Detroit skipper Alex Wobbema. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Perez finished the game with 10 strikeouts and 2 walks.
This season to date Perez has a record of 14 wins and 8 losses with a 1.89 ERA, has appeared in 33 games and struck out 287 in 257.1 innings.
