Detroit's Jerry Plumley Injured

Jerry Plumley of the Detroit Wolverines was injured in today's game against Seattle and had to be helped off the field by the trainers. The initial diagnosis is a fractured finger, and he is expected to be out for up to 5-6 weeks. It happened while Plumley was running the bases. "It hurt a lot, to be honest. I just hope it heals soon and I can get back on the field."
This season, Plumley has delivered 144 hits in 480 at-bats for a .300 average with 20 home runs. He is getting on base at a .406 clip and his totals also include 70 RBIs and 75 runs scored. This year Plumley has played in 141 games.
