Washington Won't Make Playoffs Tuesday, September 6th , 1977 The Washington Eagles will have to put any fleeting championship aspirations on hold for the time being. The Eagles were mathematically eliminated from contention for the 1977 playoffs today. The Eagles are still searching for their first playoff appearance. The team has now missed qualifying for the postseason in each of their 23 seasons in the MLB. |
