American Baseball League Picks Top Performer Monday, August 25th , 1975 It was an extraordinary week for Marty Berberet of the Los Angeles Pobladores. First he goes on a hot hitting streak, batting .583, then he is voted the Player of the Week in the American Baseball League. Last week Berberet went 7-for-12, racked up 2 home runs and 5 RBIs and scored 4 runs. It was a heck of a week for the Los Angeles right fielder. This season, Berberet has banged out 79 hits in 306 at-bats for a .258 average with 7 home runs. He is getting on base at a .330 pace and his totals also include 30 RBIs and 34 runs scored. |
