4-Year Deal for Simmons

The Dallas Wranglers opened their pocketbook and persuaded Duane Simmons to continue his career in front of the fans who have grown to appreciate his talent and contributions.
The club reached a 4-year, $2,656,000 agreement on a contract extension that will retain the talented Simmons.
"Duane just wants to get paid," the first baseman said at a press conference today to discuss the negotiations. "If you don't wanna pay Duane, Duane don't wanna play for you."
For the year, Simmons is batting .298 with 128 hits and 27 home runs. He has scored 82 times and driven in 81.
