NBL Gives Outstanding Pitcher Award Friday, October 20th , 1967 Dick Witt of the Pittsburgh Industrials is in the spotlight today. He was acclaimed the best pitcher in the National Baseball League and will be honored with the 1967 Royal Ricketts Award. He started 33 games and compiled a 17-5 record with an ERA of 2.67 in 239 innings with 167 strikeouts. Dick Conway of the Brooklyn Bluebirds finished second in voting, while Joe Clabaugh of the Cincinnati Packers finished third. |
