Darnell Chosen 1967 ABL Most Valuable Player Award

John Darnell of the Dallas Wranglers proved that you can step out of the shadows and onto the stage if you've got the talent and the drive to hone your skills. Hard work, long hours and a tireless resolve paid off for him today in the form of the American Baseball League Most Valuable Player Award.
Darnell hit for a .308 average while collecting 196 hits, 35 doubles, 20 triples, 4 home runs, 70 RBIs and scoring 103 times.
Pete Morrison of the Detroit Wolverines finished second in voting, while Gary Williams of the Boston Terriers finished third.
