1967 Best ABL Rookie Picked Friday, October 20th , 1967 No newcomer was better. When the dust cleared on the baseball diamonds this year, the top-rated rookie was Juan Rodriguez of the Detroit Wolverines, the latest winner of the American Baseball League Rookie of the Year Award. The Wolverines starter nailed down the award by compiling a 18-6 record in 32 starts, striking out 176, while walking 57 in 230 innings, and posting a 2.70 ERA. Reggie Wright of the San Francisco Seagulls finished second in voting, while Danilo Molina of the New York Empires finished third. |
