McLemore Takes NBL's Best Bat Award Monday, September 1st , 1975 Haskell McLemore, the Kansas City center fielder, certainly made a name for himself this past month. He banged out a .379 batting average with 44 hits, 8 home runs, 20 RBIs and scored 28 times. That kind of hitting earned him the National Baseball League Batter of the Month honors for August. Looking at his present stats, McLemore has compiled a .327 batting average in 113 games with a .391 on-base percentage, while hitting 25 home runs and driving in 68 runs. |
