Twin Cities Eliminated from Playoff Contention Friday, September 16th , 1977 It wasn't meant to be for the Twin Cities Northmen this year. Despite a tough battle, they were eliminated from playoff contention today. "It is a bad feeling," said Northmen closer Bill Smith. "Once you get into the playoffs, anything can happen. But you've gotta get in there first, and we weren't able to do that." The Northmen are still searching for their first playoff appearance. They haven't made the playoffs in all 22 years of their history. |
