Empires Lose Humphrey for Season
Tuesday, September 2nd , 1975
When New York starting pitcher Andy Humphrey was taken out of the game, the crowd at the Empires-Drillers game went silent as they could tell that it was a serious injury. That was confirmed today by doctors when they revealed that Humphrey had sustained ligament damage in his elbow and will be out for about 10 months.

In 28 starts this season, Humphrey has fashioned a 8-10 record and a 4.57 ERA.
