Seattle Shut Out by Powell

In a remarkable performance, Los Angeles Pobladores starter Bob Powell beat the Seattle Emeralds, 7-0, in an impressive 3-hit shutout.
"My arm felt good, mechanics were good and my stuff was working," he said later. "It doesn't get any better than this."
The Pobladores hurler finished with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks. He showed pinpoint control and a sharp fastball.
"It was a rough one for my guys," Seattle manager Mark Velez said, following the game. "We weren't at our best and their guy was."
Currently Powell has a 10-12 won-lost record in 29 starts with a 3.36 ERA. He also has 113 strikeouts in 211.2 innings.
