Boston Mathematically Eliminated from Playoffs
Monday, September 8th , 1975
The Boston Terriers have struggled throughout this season and now they have officially been mathematically eliminated from playoff contention.

"Obviously we knew things had not been going to smoothly, but this still stinks," said starting pitcher Bruce Shurtleff

Boston last appeared in the postseason in 1968. This is their 7th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 91 times in their 100-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Terriers have missed the playoffs 7 times. Boston last won the World Series in 1951.
