Cooper on a Tear, Hits for Cycle Monday, September 15th , 1975 Brooklyn Bluebirds center fielder Jackie Cooper had one of the best days of his career, when he hit for the cycle and paved the way for the 7-5 Bluebirds win over the New York Knickerbockers at Knickerbocker Stadium. "Everything was just clicking today," he said. Cooper shelled the Knickerbockers for 6 hits in 7 at-bats, collected 2 runs batted in and scored 2 runs.
