Burros Sit Atop National Baseball League Western Division Monday, September 22nd , 1975 Members of the Denver Burros proudly donned their National Baseball League Western Division championship apparel tonight, after winning the division for the 4th time in franchise history. "We don't take an accomplishment like this for granted. There are some good teams in our division, so it means a lot to come out on top," said reliever Dan Valenti. "We didn't know what sort of year it would take, but at 92-64, we're happy with the division title." The Burros will be trying to bring the 2nd Major League Baseball championship to Denver. |
