Pittsburgh Industrials Guaranteed Top Spot in National Baseball League Eastern Division Tuesday, September 23rd , 1975 Keith MacPherson said it takes "a lot of dedication and sacrifice" to win a division title. That's why he and his Pittsburgh Industrials teammates were so excited to celebrate their National Baseball League Eastern Division championship today. "It's been a team effort all year long," he said. "You don't get to this point without the guys in the room believing in what we're doing." That belief has paced the club to a 94-62 record on the season. It is the club's 18th National Baseball League Eastern Division championship and puts them in position for their 9th Major League Baseball championship. "It's a talented bunch in that room," manager Vincent Wicker said pointing to his celebrating players. "I wouldn't bet against us." |
