Barr Visits Children at Cancer Treatment Center Saturday, September 27th , 1975 Bluebirds starting pitcher Woody Barr took time out from his busy schedule today to visit a local children's cancer treatment center. Barr signed autographs and took pictures with many of the young patients. He even gave several of them caps, jerseys, and gloves. "Just seeing the smiles on these kids' faces, knowing what they've gone through, it just warms your heart", said a beaming Barr. When asked who his favorite player was, one little boy smiled broadly and exclaimed, "Woody Barr!" |
