Bobcats Celebrate Wild Card Win
Sunday, September 28th , 1975
Cleveland Bobcats manager Daniel Mays said an National Baseball League Eastern Division championship was the goal, but they are still pleased to have won a wild card position.
"You'd rather go in there as the top team, but all that matters is we're in the playoffs," he said. "Once the postseason starts, everyone's got a chance."
Cleveland starting pitcher Myron Baird said the members of the team are all incredibly focused on capturing a World Series, which would be the club's 4th.
"We all want this badly," he said.
