Chicago Headed to the Playoffs
Tuesday, September 30th , 1975
As the clock struck midnight in the Chicago Traders clubhouse, the celebration showed no signs of slowing down. The Traders were certainly ready to celebrate their National Baseball League wild card berth.
"It's time to let off a little steam after a grind of a season," said starting pitcher Bobby Peters. "We may act a bit like teenagers tonight celebrating, but we'll be back to being big leaguers tomorrow."
With a 89-74 record, Chicago will be seeking its 16th Major League Baseball championship.
