Baltimore's Tom Adams Suffers Setback Thursday, October 9th , 1975 Yesterday Baltimore first baseman Tom Adams sustained a setback in his recovery from knee tendinitis. The Lords medical staff told him it would be at least 2-3 weeks before he will be able to return to action. Adams told reporters, "The healing process has gone extremely well. This is just a little hiccup and a little setback." Apparently Adams worked a little too hard in a recent workout and caused more damage. His doctors have advised him to do only light exercise and give the injury time to heal. For the year, Adams is hitting .258 with 8 home runs. His stats include 47 RBI and 68 runs scored. |
