Ramirez Hurls Quakers to 1-0 Shutout Win Sunday, August 27th , 1972 It wasn't easy but Juan Ramirez made it look that way. Ramirez silenced the Cleveland Bobcats, 1-0, in a Philadelphia Quakers triumph at Lakefront Stadium. Despite the appearance of dominance, Ramirez said that he felt like he was struggling all game. He gave up 2 walks and 3 hits. "It didn't feel quite right today, but I made the decision to bear down and work through it," he said. "I made a few mistakes but it goes to show what you can do with grit and not much else." This year in 26 starts, Ramirez has recorded 12 wins and absorbed 11 losses.
