Taylor Gets ABL Rookie of Month Honors Friday, October 1st , 1976 In 1 starts 23-year-old Layton Taylor really put together an impressive September to win the American Baseball League Rookie of the Month honor. The Boston starter spun 3 wins and no losses as he posted a 2.01 ERA and 21 strikeouts in 22.1 innings. Looking at his pitching stats so far this season, Taylor has 61 relief appearances, pitched 95 innings and fashioned a 7-7 record with a 2.56 ERA. He has recorded 16 saves, struck out 67 and allowed opposing clubs to hit .283 when he is on the hill. |
