Denver Wins Divisional Round
Wednesday, October 6th , 1976
The Denver Burros are heading to the League Championship Series, having narrowly defeated the Kansas City Bulls.

Denver edged Kansas City in the series 4-3, with a win at Gates Crescent Park in the clinching game by a 7-6 margin.

Guillaume Moret turned in a strong offensive performance for the Burros and got series MVP for his efforts.

"I'll never turn down another trophy for my mantle, another accomplishment to remember once my career is over," he said. "What I would really remember, though, is a World Series win."

It remains to be seen how the playoffs will conclude, but if Moret continues to swing a hot bat, his team will no doubt have a chance.

For the series, he hit .348 with a .514 on-base percentage. He had 3 home runs, 7 RBI and scored 7 runs.

The Denver Burros will play against the Pittsburgh Industrials in the next round. Pittsburgh won their series against the Cleveland Bobcats 4 games to 1. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
