San Francisco Takes Divisional Round
Wednesday, October 6th , 1976
When the entire season comes down to one game, Jose Barroso said you find out what a team is really about.
As it turns out, the San Francisco Seagulls are made of fight and tenacity, as the team got by the Baltimore Lords 5-4 tonight at Seton Hill Stadium in order to win the Divisional Round and book a place in the next round.
"It wasn't hard to get excited for this game," said Barroso, whose strong offensive output earned him MVP honors. "Our guys answered the call and proved a lot about what our team is all about."
Barroso hit .346 with a .433 on-base percentage. He had 1 home runs, drove in 7 RBI and scored 3 runs.
The San Francisco Seagulls don't know who they will face in the next round. They will play the winner of the Atlanta Generals - Houston Drillers series. That series is tied at 3 games apiece. The League Championship Series schedule will be announced after the Divisional Round finishes.
