Turner at His Best, Blanks Seattle
Monday, August 26th , 1974
Dan Turner was dynamite at San Vicente Park, blowing away the Seattle Emeralds in a shutout victory. The Los Angeles Pobladores starter had everything working as he held the Emeralds to 2 hits in the 4-0 win.
"He was pure nasty out there today," said Seattle skipper Mark Velez. "I don't think any team in the league would've had a chance against what he was bringing."
Turner finished the game with 4 strikeouts and 2 walks.
In 26 starts this year, Turner has fashioned a 9-7 record and a 2.85 ERA.
