ABL Announces Royal Ricketts Award Monday, October 25th , 1976 Atlanta's Bill Davis took home the 1976 American Baseball League Royal Ricketts Award earlier today after a remarkable season on the mound. With a record of 17-8, Davis was certainly a worthy winner. He made 34 starts and posted 258.2 innings, 140 strikeouts and a 2.12 ERA. Jerry Patrick of the San Francisco Seagulls finished second in voting, while Jim Arndt of the Los Angeles Pobladores finished third. |
