Great Day for McCoy -- 5 Hits Friday, August 30th , 1974 Roger McCoy said "it felt like taking batting practice" at Bluff Park, and it showed in the box score. The Dallas right fielder had a fantastic 5-for-5 day against the New York Empires, leading his club to victory, 8-2. "I was seeing the ball very well and it was going just about anywhere I wanted," McCoy said later." Roger McCoy hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, singled in the 6th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
