Wranglers Ink $250,000 Annual Deal with Locke Friday, February 11th , 1972 The Dallas Wranglers presented 40-year-old veteran Grammercy Locke to the media today as they finalized a $250,000-a-year deal that brings the left fielder to town for 1 year. Locke has a reputation as one of the smartest guys in the clubhouse and Dallas officials hope they can get as much out of Locke in the dugout as they can on the field. Locke has chalked up a career batting average of .283 with 2677 hits, 439 homers and 1479 RBIs. |
