Pobladores Celebrate Wild Card Win Sunday, September 24th , 1972 The manager of the Los Angeles Pobladores is reminding the city of Los Angeles to "keep the faith" as the team heads into the playoffs as a wild card team. "We believe in ourselves and we need our fans to believe in us too," said Kurt Peterson. "We know we can get Los Angeles rocking with a great run in the playoffs." It remains to be seen just how deep the Pobladores will be able to go in the playoffs, but confidence appears to be high. "We've got the team to win a championship, I firmly believe that," said starting pitcher Jim Arndt. If the team is successful, it would be the 2nd Major League Baseball championship in franchise history. |
