Pobladores Shut Out by Goldberg, 9-0
Sunday, September 24th , 1972
A favor to his bullpen. That's what Denny Goldberg was doing at San Vicente Park, as he blanked the Los Angeles Pobladores, 9-0.
"I went out there to try to eat up innings and help out our bullpen," the Seattle Emeralds right-hander said later. "I felt I had my good stuff, and it turned out my command was solid."
Goldberg notched 4 strikeouts, surrendered 5 walks, allowed 4 hits, and kept the bullpen phone quiet all day long.
To date this year, in 29 starts, Goldberg has crafted a 13-11 mark with a 3.09 ERA.
