American Baseball League Western Division Champions Crowned Tuesday, September 24th , 1974 San Francisco Seagulls fans are walking a little prouder today after their team officially clinched the American Baseball League Western Division. "There's no reason to believe we can't win it all," starting pitcher Tim Stambaugh said bluntly. "Whether or not we're favorites, we can definitely do what it takes to bring the World Series home to San Francisco." The division crown is the 12th for the Seagulls. The club will be looking for its 3rd World Series victory. Team manager Al Borie said "preparation and focus" will be key to bring home the championship. |
