Chicago Devastated by Playoff Elimination Saturday, September 28th , 1974 There will be no World Series parade in Chicago. The Chicago Traders today were officially eliminated from postseason contention. Chicago last appeared in the postseason in 1970. This is their 4th consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 75 times in their 99-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Traders have made the playoffs 2 times. Chicago last won the World Series in 1953. |
