Los Angeles Won't Make Playoffs Sunday, September 29th , 1974 Los Angeles Pobladores starting pitcher Jim Arndt was extremely blunt when asked how it felt to have his team be officially eliminated from playoff contention today. "It sucks," he said. The Pobladores have missed the playoffs 24 times in their 29 years as a Major League Baseball franchise. This playoff miss is the club's 2nd in a row, with their last postseason appearance coming in 1972. In the last 10 seasons, the Pobladores have only made the playoffs once. |
